Just another crazy ole' day

7am

7am and I’ve been up for an hour already. My husband and I take turns bringing litIMG_0563tle Kaiden for a walk, our 4 month old American Pitbull. Wow having a puppy is being a new parent all over again. So instead of going back to sleep I’m working on some illustrations and hope to blog them soon.

My girls are growing up

I always laughed when my parents would tell me how time flies and how just yesterday I was a baby.  Well, these days I’m saying the same thing.  I remember holding them in my arms and saying to my husband, when Paige is 6 I’ll be 30!  Wow how quickly that has come.  I LOVE YOU PAIGE AND RYLAN!

What’s Better

With all that I know about advertising, and networking and all that fun stuff, you’d think I would have learned by now that blogging is the way to go.  I’ve been venturing the whole thing since 2003, well its 6 years later and I still have yet to successfully blog on a permanent basis.  I know it doesn’t take much to post a 6 line paragraph these days, but in my mind I never have time.  I never had time when I was a stay at home mom and I never have time as a full time worker.  But I think its time.  I have so many new ventures and Ideas and its probably about time I share them.

We return from the boondocks!…

leave a comment »

My dad moved to Georgia about 10 years ago, I think I’ve been there about 3 times, this past Easter vacation we decided to drive down with the girls. The drive down wasn’t too bad, but coming back.. boy oh boy if Rylan wasn’t sleeping she was screaming! It was insanity. But overall we had a wonderful visit with Papou, the girls stuck to him like glue the entire time. I do have to say that the weather really spoiled us, beautiful 80 degree weather was a nice change. When we drove home, we stopped in Virginia where we awoke the next morning to snow! Grrrr… that was so annoying.

A few grdeat things have been happening, for one we sent our bebeink tees to LA where they are now on display in a showroom :) We recieved out first order which will ship to Las Vegas this weekend and we have been given word that there are 3 pending orders, LARGE orders which one of is a very well known department store :) Once we get the word I’ll let you know who it is ;) Wish us luck!

I’m so excited! I found this website, swap-bot where you swap just about everything and anything! I’ve been looking around for something like this for a while. I love to get “things” so this is going to be perfect! I’m going to swap buttons! I’m really trying hard to keep up with the crafting.smalllogo.gif

Busy little bees

leave a comment »

It has been quite busy around here.  Nathaniel has been visited almost everyday by me and my sister and mom.  I’ve had work all weekend and most of the nights and I have been “cleaning house” and reorganizing things around here.  I do that quite often to see how much space I can gain by rearranging and throwing things out.

I have worked with the autistic children twice already doing art with them and I am really enjoying it.  I am trying to figure out a way to promote myself as an art instructor for kids and maybe do some afterschool programs once or twice a week.  I seem to always be trying to find something that will work for me so that I don’t have to work for someone else.  Things are getting quite tight around here with mortgages and bills and credit cards that I know I will have to go back to work real soon, I would love to be able to work and be home by atleast 4pm so that my day doesn’t have to end with hardly seeing my girls.  I used to work a regualr full time job when Paige was little and it was horrible.  I never came home earlier than 6.30pm and by the time dinner was ready it was 8pm and Paige was zonked.  If Kyle were home earlier and could be here for them I wouldn’t mind coming home late but both of us would have to work this New York style of life and in the end the girls would suffer greatly.

Update on Nate

leave a comment »

Our poor little Nate, I went to visit him yesterday and to my surprise he looked better than I had imagined he would.  He is still fighting the infection but slowly and surely he is getting better.  I have found myself praying for him through out the day and thinking about him as he gets older playing with my girls.  All tests that they are giving him are coming in negative, he still has the bacteria in him but it has been 2 days now without a fever and thats very positive.

Please keep praying for little Nate he is a fighter and he needs to stay that way.
